The Director of the Entrepreneurship Development Centre (EDC), Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), led his team on a strategic visit to the Faculty of Agriculture, Shabu Annex. The purpose of the visit was to formally introduce the EDC leadership to the faculty’s Entrepreneurship Skill Acquisition Coordinator and gain insights into how entrepreneurship practicals are conducted within the faculty. During the meeting, the Director commended Dr. Luka, the coordinator, along with the facilitators, for their dedication and contributions to entrepreneurship training. He further urged them to intensify their efforts, emphasizing that strengthening entrepreneurship education is a key driver for societal development and economic growth in Nigeria. The Director also highlighted key developments at the EDC, including the automation of its processes, staff revalidation, and the introduction of new skill-based programs focusing on soft skills such as web development, content creation, and video editing.
Before engaging with the faculty’s coordinator, the Director had the privilege of meeting and exchanging pleasantries with the Dean of the Faculty Prof. S.A. Okunsebor. Following the discussions, the EDC team took the opportunity to explore the Department of Forestry and Wildlife, where they encountered a unique conservation effort featuring trees tagged with matriculation numbers, as well as wildlife species such as crocodiles and monkeys. The faculty’s representatives explained that the forest houses tree species representing nearly all of North Central Nigeria’s flora. The visit concluded with a group photograph, marking a productive engagement aimed at strengthening entrepreneurship training within the university.
