EDC Commences ENTC311 Practical Training for 2025/2026 Session

The Entrepreneurship Development Centre (EDC) has officially commenced its practical training sessions, marking an important transition from classroom learning to hands-on skill development. During the opening session, the Director addressed the students and outlined the key modalities guiding the practical phase of the programme. She emphasized the importance of discipline, punctuality, and full participation, noting that the Centre remains committed to maintaining a structured and professional learning environment that prepares students for real-world opportunities.

To enhance accountability and efficiency, the Centre has introduced a new barcode-based attendance system. Each student has been assigned a unique barcode, which will be scanned electronically at every session to ensure accurate and transparent attendance records. The Director stressed that attendance will be strictly monitored, as it forms a crucial part of students’ overall evaluation and eligibility for certification.

In addition, students have been automatically grouped specifically for their project work in preparation for the upcoming exhibition. The grouping was system-generated to ensure fairness, balanced team composition, and effective collaboration. These project groups will work together throughout the practical phase to develop, execute, and present their projects during the exhibition, showcasing the skills and knowledge acquired during the programme.

The Director also firmly warned that no student should give any money to any facilitator under any circumstance. She reiterated that all payments related to the programme must be made only through officially approved channels of the Centre, and any request for personal payment should be reported immediately to management. With these measures in place, EDC reaffirms its commitment to transparency, accountability, and delivering a high-quality practical training experience for all students.
